YUCK....I don't drink any. Both are too bitter for me. I'd probably give someone 1 of those to drink as punishment.

AOA,
me? I like both...but I get where sis Humayraa is coming from, I HATE (maybe this should go under fetish's? ;D ) strong (bitter), tea or coffe. I prefer both, milky. Most days it's tea at least two cups a day but at least once or twice in the week, coffee. I have tried very hard not to get hooked on either! Caffiene is NOT good for you in huge amounts! Or so I'v been told!

i like herbal teas, mostly because of the health benefits, peppermint tea is yummy though and really soothes your tummy especially during that time of the month, i have a vanilla cappuccino for a treat once in a while but coffee is not very good for your health so i try to avoid it

Asalaamu alaikum.
Every morning I have my cup of coffee with milk and sugar. Once in a blue moon I have a coffee in the afternoon or after dinner.
Before getting pregnant I drank a lot of herbal tea...peppermint being a favorite and anything with hibiscus and/or rose hips. Now I'm not so sure what is safe for pregnancy. Seems like every source says something different.
I do like some caffienated teas...but they can keep me up at night.
Whenever I go to parties with the sisters from the masjid I'm always up all night afterwards from drinking sweet hot tea and arabic coffee and eating tons of sweets. It is hard to say no to some people!
Salaams.

Mmmmm! I love hot tea, and sometimes I like coffee. It has to be just right though. I like Turkish coffee though. If it's made nice of course.
Yeah, a couple times the tea was just soooo bitter, I tried putting sugar in it but it didn't help. So, as long as it's not strong and bitter, I love it. With just a dash of sugar, and I mean just a dash. I see my friends putting like 3 and 4 cubes in this teeny tiny Turkish tea cup...and I can't see how they can drink it. Sometimes I like a squeeze of lemon too.
I've found that a little hot tea (just plain old black tea) helps my stomach since I've been pregnant. Just as long as it's light.
In Turkey they have these 3 in 1 instant coffee things, you just pour the tube into hot water and it has the sugar, creamer and coffee all ready. My mother in law sends them to us sometimes because she knows I liked them. They're really good. I haven't seen anything like that here.

Assalamu alaykum,
It has to be tea for me. I hardly touch coffee. Having said that, I hate tea when pregnant and switch over to coffee for the 9months. Iced coffee is wonderful.

Sis Asya, where is the "both" vote, for us real junkies! LOL I usually drink one (sometimes two ::) ) cup(s) of coffee in the morning. I cannot stand cold coffee, iced coffee, or anything coffee-flavored such as ice cream or cake - ICK!! :-\ Sorry...I know some of you like those iced coffee drinks!! I also drink tea, usually in the evenings in the winter time, or socially when I have company. And I love, love, love iced tea!!

[slm] ,
I can't don't drink coffee unless its moca and more chocolate then coffee. I don't drink cause coffee makes me super active. I love grean or herbal tea but just not when i'm pregnant. Sorry sprite is the only thing that my body reminds me that i didn't get a dose of.

Definatly coffee. But I love tea too!
I stopped drining coffe when i got pregnant. Now I do drink decaff and lots of lovely herbal teas. My favourites are: cinnamon and mango, blackberry and vanilla, mint tea, chamomille, ginger and orange, herbs and fruits.
But i do also drink once a day an 'ole cuppa of English tea'!

I occasionally drink coffee.....but not real coffee. I only like the flavored espresso drinks like mochas or vanilla lattes.....hot or iced!
I love tea and drink it everyday. Generally iced tea in the summer and lots of it. I usually have 1-2 cups of hot tea in the winter. I stick mostly to real tea, rather than the herbals. I like getting my antioxidants, so I'll alternate between black, green, and white!

I love coffee - hot, cold, flavored, plain, with cream, black. I love the sugar-free cinnamon dulce from Starbuck's but don't like to pay the price for it. I also love peppermint mocha in the winter. I have one cup of coffee at home in the morning and usually sip a cup of coffee most of the morning at work. Sometimes I'm surprised that when I take the lid off to wash out the cup that I've only had 1/2 of a cup. Other times, I have drained it.
In the afternoon I usually drink cold tea (weak) with no sugar. If I'm drinking hot tea, I need it sweetened. I like flavored teas, too except for Raspberry. My favorite flavored is peach for cold and orange spice for hot.

Assalamu alaykum,
I must say i like coffee (lately i like the bitter one) better than tea, though i dont hook it daily. Sometimes it helps my migraine. I like the light flavored one too (espresso, latte...). Occasional tea drinker too, mostly jasmine tea... cold or hot, that's always fine...

Where is the both choice? No, i love and be very addicted to coffee. Especially each kind of cappucino. During pregnancy my former husband to be don`t allow me to drink coffee. So for the next time i have had enough tea. The only tea i realy enjoy right now is chinese gignger tea.

I drink mild tea in the morning with milk and sugar. I'm trying to cut down on the sugar, sugar-free is actually not so bad, but I've got a bit of a sweet-tooth so... I'm not there yet (my mother drinks sugar-free and has already forgotten that we normal people drink it sweet [smilie=12biggrin.gif] )
I drink coffee when with coffee-drinking company. Also with lots of milk and some sugar. I had a period of drinking coffee instead of tea this pregnancy (was trying to get more active, loose some of that tiredness... didn't really work). Hubby used to drink instant coffee stirred in only hot milk (no water), but switched to Moroccan mint-tea. He wants it too sweet and bitter for my taste.
Hot coffee makes me [smilie=sleepy2.gif] , but coffee-flavoured ice-cream keeps me awake and it's loooooooooovely, mashaa Allah.
English tea is too strong and bitter, it takes me a lot of extra milk and sugar to like it (when flying I always have to ask for more milk and sugar once or twice!), but since coming here my tea has become a little stronger.
I like Somali tea: regular black tea flavoured with cinnamon, cardamom and ginger. Yum, reminds me of ginger breads. And I like some herbal teas, some fruity teas, ice tea, I have yet to taste white tea.

yea I can't vote either coz I drink both.....
I need my caffeine fix everyday, it pretty bad. I go with just one cup of tea or coffee a day .......not everyday and days when I really need it I drink diet coke......I am really limiting myself with the pregnancy but I can't bring it down to zero..

I didn't vote b/c I don't drink either (for my own health-why start a new bad habit). I do like the way tea tastes if it has milk in it, so will drink that very rarely (every few years [smilie=12biggrin.gif] ). However, I absolutely CANNOT stand coffee. It's just too strong for me, tastes bad and makes me sick.

I voted coffee because I drink that pretty much each day. I know that my body is dependant on the cafeine, which is not good because I notice I get headaches when I don't have it. Tea I love but just don't have as much. We like it with mint.

And I hooked my hubby and many of his family members on my ICED TEA, yeh!!!! [smilie=cheerleader.gif] [smilie=clap.gif]

I go easy on coffee as I shake like a leaf and cant drive. few sips is
all I can handle. my arabic hubby witnessed that on me and flipped out. oops. I do get drunk on arabic coffee easy. I talked a mile a minute and heart racing for hours. in arabic household its rude not to accept coffee if not looking as my hubby would drink it fast for me. then say enuf for me. as IM american so Im excused. so tea is not a problem for me as I drink rose tea iced and english tea hot. I also liked the chai tea. my hubby would tell them in advance pls tea for his wife. embarrassing ...a fuss with that but appreicated. Yes I Know its only a doll cup but the chemical in my body cant tolerate it even tho I love the flavor of coffee. same problems with other foods as well. arabic foods is hard on me so we found two dish I can eat and cook with him. otherwise german and swedish is all I eat when hes working. sometimes good things are not good for you
