One Thing That Made Me Smile . . .

I thought up of a NEW GAME :hyper: never thought I would but hey! miracles happen....

So this is a thread where you can post one thing that made you smile in your day.....can be more than one thing so it's not limited. I thought up of this whilst talking to Aisha and was telling her what Juju was doing today.

Okay, so today Juju and I were napping then I had to go to the bathroom (nature called) then when I returned Juju quickly opened his eyes (as if to check that I am still there) and then slowly shut them and snuggled up closer to me.....

That made me smile sooooo much and I felt truly blessed :D

Adam broke a part off one of his cars and came to me and said "mommy look bwoken." LoL that made me laugh.

Hana is almost crawling masha'Allah - she commando'd over to her dad just a few minutes ago and started scratching his toes. Made us both smile (and a bit of a flinch from him when she dug her nails in! :rotfl: )

Last night Juju was in his rocker than I heard him fart a big manly one :blush: and then I looked at him a said, "Yukky Poo!" He looked up at me and gave me a big toothless grin and turned away shyly.....mashallah! Then I bent down and gobbled him up:eating:....now....no more juju :dunno:

Last night when I was talking to DH ...he told me that Zain ..Ammi Jaan and DH went to the mall yesterday .....Zain was super excited riding all the escalators up and down thinking it's some sort of a joy ride LOL and he got even more excited when he saw his Baba Jani and Dado(grandma) riding the escalator too ....DH said he was laughing out lout like anything thinking WOW This is a ride that even big kids ride LOL

Son Ibrahim helping out with the cleaning and lifting today, and then he says, "Mama, I didn't hurt myself" after some lifting, to which I replied "Alhamdulillah," and then he said the same.
and Duaghter Huda finally sharing her chocolate after realizing it was too big for her and Ibrahim telling her, "I shared with you so you share with me." And much more.

Nicola, you're lucky your kids only sleep with the cooking spoons. Aside from play cooking, my kids often use them to play baseball - both a version based on the real game and another they also call baseball but involves using the spoons as mallets.
I also fund a variety of things tucked under pillows and tangled in blankets. At some point, my son went through a key / keychain phase. So you can guess where I always found his grandfather's missing car keys....

Did I say they only sleep with them?! ;) What I mentioned is Sumaya's latest weirdity but by no means the only alternative use of kitchen utensils. :roll: :lol:

They use them for baseball like your kids; I caught Ibrahim when he was younger trying to dig up the garden with the metal tongs (everytime I couldn't find the tongs I knew to check out the back); Also for chasing eachother around and beating eachother up with. Oh yeah and Sumaya thinks the spatula is for killing flies with. She also catches ants in the kitchen with glasses. I find two or three glasses on the floor, each one with an ant under it!

Many things makes me smile in a day, the joy of our kids, Masha ALLAH, and living with nephews and nieces and watching them play, and also playing along with them!
My dd makes me smile every time she puts on my long black hijab in harry potter style, and over it she puts her hijab and take some of it upwards till only her eyes are visible and puts on the socks and plays the Teacher role. And she makes all the pillows her students when i don't become her student. what a joy, MashaALLAH!
