do you like the new board or the old board better

aoa sisters i had just read the post about admin having problems with the new board and it will take her a while to figure it out well i want to say if its okay with admin we do a poll so if she doesnt mind keeping the old board instead of the new board she doesnt do all the un neccasary work so please vote this affects us all and the forum as well. anyhow admin we appreciate your efforts just the same


my problem with the new board it made the computer hang for ever and i couldnt find what i wanted easily

i like the old board better, bc the new board froze up my computer everytime i got on here. then i would have to shut down and restart. the one thing i really liked about the old board was that we could see who posted last and for what topic in each thread. this board just shows who posted last. but alhumdulilah, i like this chat room better than the small one bc i couldnt type as fast and enter as many times as i could in the current one. but alhumdulilah, at least now with the old board, i dont get kicked out and the computer doesnt freeze!

I'm happy with MMC as long as it exists, Alhamdulillaah.

If I had to choose a board though, I do prefer the old one, masha'Allaah. I could see all the effort and hard work in the new board as well, and if it were to return I won't be upset. I know the new board was never "completed" but there are features on the old board which didn't quite make it onto the new one and I missed them, eg. the statistics, seeing the new posts, etc. I agree that the new board took longer to load when the mini-chat was there. Either board is fine with me, but I voted to keep the old board inshaaAllaah.

OK, I'll be completely honest then [smilie=23icon_mrgreen.gif] ... I HATED the new board! I didn't like the way the forums were arranged, the mini chat made the page take a long time to load and sometimes the page would decide to reload. The mini chat was hard to keep up with and it wasn't private.

I'm with Kemi... I REALLY hope the old board stays. [smilie=12biggrin.gif]

jazik Allah khayrn admin for your acceptance to take this vote i really dont want to see you work so hard and then becuase we arent able to use it the forum goes down hill and ppl stop posting as many of us have said we love it here . and i want it to be a welcoming place for us all in shaa Allah your efforts are greatly appreciated and i know u created the new board to try to make it easier for us but i dont want you to be burdened you have a family to and you were up all crazy hours trying to fix this . so may Allah swt reward you abundantly for your efforts

I have to say also that the old board is better. I mean the new one was more efficient but it lacked warmth or something like that....this one, although much longer, is homey and you see everything at one and you see where posts have been made right away.

So i gues it doesnt have to be effecient but rather homey...am i talking weird or what??

Probably depends on the quality and speed of your internet. [smilie=1224311icon_wink.gif] Sisters in some countries are still on dial-up which makes loading time longer. I was on dial-up until last year but even with ASDL I still get problems.
