the clothes you married in as did you wear them again ? or tossed them out? I tossed mine out as I wear only once and thats it. never to repeat again. would you passed it on to someone and let her wear them for her special day?

I continued to wear them....and actually, I bought them with THAT in mind (to be able to wear them later on).

And if I chose to wear it just that one day, and there was a Sister in need of an outfit for her "special day"....by all means I would give it to her.

I kept it for a few years. I wanted to show it to my babies when they were older but then I changed my mind when space became an issue. I gave all of my wedding outfits to charity.

one of the women put hers in glass framed with gold frame with small lamp on top.. mmmmm...interesting to see. supposely she copied like from the late princess diana. smile..... but hers wasnt a wedding dress, of course. another put hers like a head board to block the window. quite clever.

I returned mine and got my money back. No it wasn't used (haram) I would never return something used for my money. I spent all this money buying a beautiful dress, scarf and shoes. THEN I started my period that same day, I was so bloated, felt fat, and no way did I feel like getting all dressed up. So I wore a pant outfit I had bought for our honeymoon. Getting my money back felt so good! Lol!!

The day we got married it was planned, it just happened within 2 hours. We were both wearing jeans that day. The most funny thing is my dh didn't really wear jeans that often. It was his only pair at the time. lol

I've saved my wedding dress, and plan to wear it for another formal occasion. The marriage went bad, but the dress is still perfectly good.

Assalamu alaikum,

I didn't have a real wedding dress and no pictures were taken. Recently, my 5 year old chided me for not having "a pumped-up dress" from my wedding and no pics. Hindsight tells me maybe we should have taken at least one photo for posterity.

I do still have the winter cap I wore to the Masjid when we got married Islamically. I wasn't a Muslim yet so it was all I had to cover my head. Alhamdulillah it was November so I wasn't cooking in it.
