What do you all carry in your diaper bags and what does it look like?

diaper bag was new to me as all I had was army back pack full of changing clothes extras baby wipes medicine first aid kit phone numbers in case car break down etc...basically my emergency bag even today I still hve the army back pack even kids are grown as I got first aid kit still ..extra cash..change of jeans and shirt for myself. some things I havent changed. I bought my daughter in laws diaper bag as it looked very useful and cute. I like the way it rolled out in to changing diaper pad. I made myself sit up on as that is in my back pack. for those who were once girl scouts as its very useful.

My bag is not actually a diaper bag as well. It is this HUGE red purse I got at Macy's, very stylish and roomy [smilie=23icon_mrgreen.gif]

It contains: blanket to lie down while I am changing him, changing pad, 3-4 toys, diapers, wipes, blanket to cover the stroller so no wind touches him, hand sanitizer, camera, lotion, lol. I THINK that is all, lol


It made me think to ask this bc I was like wow I sure come prepared and carry a lot of things, lol..

I have never carried a diaper bag - I just slip a spare diaper or two and half a pack of baby wipes into my handbag and that's it. No need for bottles since I breastfeed. I have a tube of handcream and my phone camera in my bag anyway.

I carry ALOT!!! I have a black messenger styled diaper bag.

- One spare outfit with onesie
- 3 diapers atleast
- Wipes
- small tube of desitin +vaseline
- changing pad
- 2-3 toys
- Nursing cover
- wash cloths
- spare bib

My stuff:
- camera
-wallet
- handcream for myself
- hand sanitizer
- keys
- cell phone

my diaper bag is like a suitcase! But i hate being unprepared, no bottles alhumdulillah......and on more than one occasion I have needed all those things so I can't seem to omit them!

- little bag with diaper rash cream, lotion, baby wash, and baby tylenol (these things got left over from when we went out of town and I figured it'd be good to keep them with me)

- 2 bottles
- my purse
- cell
- camera
- water bottle for me
- my gloves
- extra papers/receipts

sheesh is that all? never realized how much stuff until I typed it all out, masha'allah!

lol thats right Farah....I was like sheesh myself!

A couple times I was out and haadia had a poopy explosion when I was feeding her, her poop ran up her diaper through her layers of clothing onto my clothes!

I also carry disposable washcloths that have a it of soap in them and was so thanful coz I had to give Haadia a mini bath and change her clothes and everything!

So I can't imagine leaving without all that stuff....I carry a paci too even though she does not even take a paci anymore....lol

Oh I have receipts too, and coupons!

lol, I never noticed as well until my dh was like gees you bring the whole house and btw hes embarassed to carry my big red bag, lol.

Oh Reem once after Jumah my dh, son and I went to eat and as the waitress was asking me what I wanted my son had an explosion. It was LOUD, stinky and started running all over me, him and the floor. OMG it was horriable. I went and changed him and after that he did it again poor baby. We just paid and left without even getting to eat, UGH!

Maariyah's diaper bag contains Diaper's (of course), two changes of clothes (including t-shirts, socks...etc.), formula, papers, changing pad, bottles, paci's....etc.

In the beginning i carried half the baby room with me. Now it is a lil bag under the stroller with 1 set clothes to change, wipes, pampers and something to drink. The first aid bag is in my handbag

i have a couple diffrent bags i have a black one in case we are traveling i dont want my nice to get ruined

i have a winnie the pooh one i like that one it has so many extras like changin dirty clothes ba a bottle insulator and also a bottle holder and many many compartments

i also have a keneth cole reaction leather messanger when we are out and about .

and i have a fisher price back pack which can clip to your seat
so that way it has the food and all the stuff handy


whats in it 2 outfits 5 diapers cream hand sanitizer with cocoa butter in it wipes toys pacifier extra bibs . youssef throws his junk in there too books and pencils and water bottle etc

thats pretty much it

and my DH CARRIES everyone of them including my purse if i hand it to him hehehehe mashAllah

I have the entire house in mine, but I no longer carry it around becase I've never had to use anything from it. Right now I do what sis Nicola does...throw a spare diaper and half pack of wipes in my handbag.

usually babies who are breastfed explode everywhre and its quite a mess. so make sure u take some extra clothes

B explodes 10 to 12 times a day! Quite a few of them are like what was described up above. So far it has never happened while we were out, Alhamdulillaah!

I do have extra clothes and quite a few emtpy plastic bags (for dirty diapers) in his diaper bag.

The diaper bag is packed and just needs to be grabbed up when going out the door. It's just that dh doesn't like to carry it into the car and seeing that I've never had to use anything in it, I've been leaving it home for the past few weeks, masha'Allaah.

My diaper bag looks okay, as long as I keep it clean. The first time I got it, dh's mom was here, I had it arranged the way I wanted, with my stuff in it too, until dh husabnd took everything out wondering it was, and put it back. I then took everything back out, and put it back like I had it. [smilie=243221icon_lol.gif]
