 The idea for Muslim Moms' Cafe came about several years ago, when I had my first child. I was always searching the web trying to find a forum dedicated to Muslim moms, a place where Muslim moms could talk about issues pertaining to motherhood. Since it was my first child, naturally I had many questions regarding motherhood and wanted to hear views from other Muslim moms. Besides finding only a handful of groups and personal pages devoted to Muslim moms, I noticed that nothing else existed! After realizing that a forum would be a great asset to all Muslim moms, I decided to create one. Sisters, I am happy to say, that with the help of Allah (swa), we finally have a forum of our own! And it is about time!
I felt short of finding what I was looking for, a large scale forum for Muslim moms; rather I found only a handful of groups and personal pages. I realized that such a forum did not exist. Needless to say, I gave up and stopped searching. It wasn't until my second child was born, recently, that I became interested in a forum for Muslim moms again. Realizing that it was still nowhere to be found, I decided to do something about it. Since I knew it would be a great asset for all Muslim moms, I was determined to make a forum myself. Alhamdullilah I was able to achieve this fairly quickly due to my background in web design and degree in the computer field.
MashaAllah! Muslim Moms' Cafe now exists for all Muslim moms to benefit from. Whether you have questions to ask, comments to make, want to rave or rant about something, want to give advice or encouragement, or talk about other issues, then Muslim Moms' Cafe is the place for you! This is a forum for all Muslim moms and it is not limited to only motherhood issues (although we all do enjoy discussing the joys and challenges). Actually, if a subject interests you, then you are welcome to discuss it.
InshaAllah, we can make this forum a great and resourceful place. Many of us do not have the time to meet with other Muslim moms on a daily or even weekly basis. This forum is a great opportunity for us to do just that, whenever we find a few minutes from our daily obligations. Another exciting thing is that we are not limited by geographics. It would be great to talk to other Muslim moms who live in a different state or even a different country.
This forum will allow us to talk about the pleasures and challenges of motherhood. It's a great place to share stories, experiences, thoughts and ideas, to give advice, give encouragement, or talk about any other aspects of our lives (which might not pertain to motherhood). It's our forum and all subjects are welcome! I pray that, InshaAllah, this forum becomes beneficial to us all and we become better Muslim moms in the process.
Anyone who has ventured in who is not a Muslim is welcome to browse and ask questions as well. I hope you will use this opportunity to learn more about our beautiful religion, Islam.It is my hope that this forum helps unite Muslim moms from all over the world and helps strengthen our bond as an Ummah or community of believers in Islam.
